The school offers lunch in the cafeteria, self-service system, for students from Kindergarten to High School. Those interested should fill out a form with the fixed days they intend to have their meals.

The prices are Level IV and Level V – R$ 24.00 / 1st year to 9th year – R$ 27.00 / High School – R$ 35.00. Payment method: bank payment slip available at the Student Portal in the Financial Consultation field or via e-mail, automatically.

7. Does the school have a cafeteria? How does it work?

The school has an outsourced cafeteria that sells baked snacks, natural sandwiches, juice, water, acai, popsicles, chocolate, yogurt, among other items. From noon on, the Canteen serves lunch by weight for students and their families (for prices, check directly with the people in charge). The canteen accepts payment in cash, debit card or PIX.

8. Does the school offer extracurricular activities?

Yes, the school offers Artistic Gymnastics, Ballet and Jazz, Theater, Circus, Skateboarding, Chess, Judo, Creative Technology, Skating, Music, Futsal and Choir courses in the unit. We also have a partnership with Sumaré Esportes for the swimming course.

9. Does the school offer Catechesis/Chrisma?

The school, within its pastoral proposal, offers students catechesis in preparation for the First Eucharist from the 4th year of elementary school (second semester). Chrisma takes place for students from the 9th grade to the 3rd grade of High School, with meetings every 15 days, for the duration of one year.

11. Do you have to be Catholic to study at the School?

The School is confessional Catholic. However, the religion professed by the students and/or their families is not a requirement for admission.

1. To request a shift change, school transcripts or schooling declaration

One of the responsible people should send an e-mail, formalizing the request for one of these services to [email protected]. It is also possible to make the request, in writing, directly to the secretary.

2. What is the minimum age for entry?

To study at the São Paulo unit, the student must be of full age or be until March 31st, depending on the level he or she wishes to enter, in Kindergarten or 1st grade. This rule is only valid for students who are attending school for the first time. If they are already enrolled in another school, the sequence of studies already completed applies.

3. When does the New Student Admission Process begin?

The information is made available on the School’s website starting in August, for admission the following year.

4. How can I issue the 2nd copy of the bank slip for payment of the monthly fee?

Slips can be issued by the Responsible Financial Officer directly through the Student/Responsible Portal. It can also be requested from the Treasury, by phone (11) 3677-0600, WhatsApp (11) 98663-1595, e-mail [email protected] or in person.

5. How do I request a second test call?

One of the people responsible for the student must formalize the request for a second call directly with the Discipline Counselor of the floor (1st year with Vanessa; 2nd to 5th with Monica; 6th to 8th with Carlos and 9th and High School with Eduardo), as long as the necessary information is provided (missed subject and justification for the absence on the day of the test; medical certificate, if applicable).

The São Paulo unit offers classes from Nursery, from 6 months old on up to High School.

2 . What does it mean for the School to offer a bilingual education?

A world of opportunities opens up for Santa Marcelina students who have a truly efficient Bilingual Education, which goes beyond learning a second language. Bilingual Education is offered from Level 2 to 9th grade. From the 2nd to the 9th grades, Santa Marcelina relies on Systemic advising, which seeks to integrate the needs of the school to the proposed classes, aiming at optimizing the students’ experience. This advising includes continued training and weekly follow-up of teachers and didactic material delivered to the student.

3. Are all classes in English?

The students from the 1st to the 9th grade have 4 hours of class per week, where they interact and build knowledge in several areas, in English. We believe in a methodology capable of providing students not only with fluency in the language, but also with an integral formation that enables them to immerse themselves in a new culture.

The classes are interdisciplinary, with varied activities designed to enhance diverse skills, contemplate multiple intelligences, and develop critical thinking. Students not only learn English, they learn in English. In Kindergarten, the child’s contact with the English language is daily and is part of the daily work performed in the different fields of experience.

Assessment in early childhood education refers to the full development process of the child and occurs in a planned and continuous manner. It contemplates the trajectory of learning and development of the child through the fields of experience, provided in the BNCC.

In elementary and high school, it considers the continuous journey of learning, with the intention of diagnosing the results to promote student development and to redimension the educational practice. The assessment occurs in a procedural and formative way, based on the learning objectives and skills set out in the BNCC and external indicators of large-scale assessment.

6. Are cell phones allowed in the school and classrooms?

The use of any electronic objects, including cell phones, may be used in the learning environments under the authorization of the teacher or other collaborator, either during classes or field work.

7. How can I communicate with the pedagogical coordinator?

The pedagogical coordination can be contacted by e-mail or through the IsCool application, where the coordination teams are available to clarify doubts and interact with the families.
